cpnova
We sowed 60 ha of spring wheat last week and the pigeons who were starving cos the rape has died back were unusually on it whilst we were drilling. I called my regular lads in and they have shot it everyday since. They finished the week over 500 ahead and had sunday off cos they were knackered! I grabbed my chance and had a go in the morning to try a new gun and picked up 19 after spending the first hour getting over rusty shooting and decoying techniques. A better pigeon shooter would have bagged well over 30. Its been a long time since we have had such good sustained decoying conditions and its really nice to take a meaningful chunk out of the local flying rat problem for once. They have had the upper hand for too long and cost us far too much
