yickdaz
for time of year unless you have hundreds or thousands on peas or spring rape i have neither, had a look at fields i shot 88 from last week some birds still around area and on closer inspection of the fields told me the pigeons were after chick weed and small amounts of rape growing in the wheat. i bumped into a guy who also has permission and he said he shot 31 the previous day on the same field. we watched for a while and both decided to give em another go and shared the hide also with his 9 year old daughter who for the whole time we shot couldn;t sit still and bobbed about every time a pigeon came near us. kept her quiet by letting her shoot some winged birds with her single barrel 410.so let her have her picture taken with the bag because how she put it.i got 2 of them. picked 20. yickdaz
well done..but i feel the 2 in a hide debate fast approaching again... one shot whilst the other had gun broke with no shells in gun. and his daugther was closely supervised by both of us when shooting the winged pigeons thought i best clear that up. like you say before it starts an avalanche of posts not in favour of it. samw
i got nothing against 2 in a hide as long as both partys are safe and know what they are doing nice shooting by the way Edited May 17, 2010 by samw
unclestuffy
Shot quite a few times with two in the hide. Personally I think it is about having a fire plan and good communication between two shooters - also how big is the hide.
