Is it a bird? Is it a Plane? No It's SUPER CROW!

I went out this afternoon to get a couple of woodies to make up a Game Pie. They were no real problem so, as I had got some 2&3/4 inch 4 shot cartridges (Lyalvale Express Super Game with Fibre Wads) to have a go at the crows with I thought it was an ideal opportunity to try them out. I had a few crows, each with direct hits when this bird came over. It was a good high bird and just folded up when I shot it with the right hand barrel and it hit the ground like a sack of spuds. This is one of the biggest crows I have seen for a while, maybe it's something to do with it being a "Northerner"!

I have to say that I really quite like these cartridges and would like to try some in 6 shot for bunnies and pigeons!

p.s. I've just noticed, this photo makes my old 12 bore look fairly tidy!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think there's an echo around here Ollie! :hmm:

No it isn't a raven! :hmm:

No it isn't a raven! :good:

(There you go Ollie mate, you asked the question twice so out of courtesy I have politely answered it twice)

This crow is more like the size of a Bantam, and no my gun didn't shrink when I cleaned it (See, I do clean it now and then)!

In answer to your question Cocker, it's a Spanish "Larrangar" - 28 inch barrels at 3/4 and Full choke and it fits me like a glove, that's why I bought it for just £85.00 with a gun slip - The only way it could have been better is if it had been chambered for 3 inch cartridges!

You sem to be getting the hang of shooting crows now mate ???

Have they started putting lead in your cartridges now ???

Looks that way mate, you've just got to know where they are going to land and get the "Super Glue" spread out in plenty of time! As for putting some lead in my cartridges, the misses says I'd be better off getting some to put in my pencil!!!!!! :good::hmm::hmm:??? ???
