pixie
Farmer had a sheep dead and was amazed how much of it got eaten overnight. He has a field of sweet corn right next to it which last year was full of foxes.(until he cut it ). So I visited last night having already shot 16 crows and jackdaws in the morning and this years cub came running through the grass just at twilight, then it stopped when I whistled (only cause I still had the safety on  ) The rest as we say is history. Picture taken this morning on my phone.

snowz
.17HMR 50yds in the throat Why did you shoot it in the throat? yea i thought this myself earlier............ Yes it was sitting down looking straight at me , through the throat into the boiler room. so you mean in the front of his chest?? when i first read this earlier i questioned the reason why shoot it in the throat, it wouldn't of been a instant kill would have to of bled out or suffocate etc. i have seen plenty of head and body shot foxes not killed instantly with larger calibers, its all about shot placement. I think people should think about what they write, how they write it and how people will read it, there are enough people out there looking for an argument against our sport. good shooting tho, a good fox is a dead fox to me and my farmers atb Richard
