Cosd
Best bet is to read reviews on the net; If it ain't a Landy that's been hand painted by virgins in the exact colour camo, it will get slated on here!

Gixer must be bad if thats the advice coming from a discovery owner we had one on the shoot at home a while back and the guy driving it reckoned it was surprisingly good off road, he has no experience using it for shooting though being as home was Glamis castle

gixer1
Merc know how to build a good 4x4 (Gwagen/unimog) but the ML is junk and they are not good offroad Alex, even with MT's on as the have no ground clearance, I cam honestly say my disco (both the td5 and the current tdv6) is one of the best allrounders - nothing to do with being buyest as me and my mate just bought A jimny and first impressions are it is unstoppable offroad (apart from stumps!) it just seems to glide over everything whereas a disco goes through! As I say my old man would sell his if someone wants it and it would be ok for someone who isn't worried about mpg or parts costs, he has always been a merc fan and has had a few good ones but the ml is a joke! Highlander
Well I owned one for about 3 years and for the last 2 of those it spent nearly every day off road and I will say it was pretty impressive. I had some serious boots to put on in winter and some less serious ones for summer and I can't ever remember getting stuck. Ask pavman, showing off to a young lady one day he got his Landy well stuck (actually didn't take much as he drove straight into a mire!) up to the axles but the merc came to the rescue, went into the bog, hitched him up and pulled out backwards in no time at all. It has a computer drive thingy (can't recall what it was called) that puts power to any one wheel that's got grip etc etc and that worked well. The only trouble with it was smart leather and way too quality for my use had to go before I totally trashed it!
