roblade
The most rabbits i have seen on my permision are normaly about just after a good down pour. I find rabbits are fussy little *******, they dont like it too cold, they dont like it too windy and they dont like it too wet! Axe
Rabbits seem to be less aware in the rain, so it should be worth the effort.
Cranfield
The most rabbits i have seen on my permision are normaly about just after a good down pour. Ditto. I think the operative word here is "after". Whilst there may be regional variations and other factors involved, rabbits don't seem to like being out in the rain, if they can avoid it. Overcast, windy conditions are near perfect, but I have never seen much on rainy days, or nights.
24joy
I find alot will also stay closer to cover when rainning. Not to good if they do'nt drop or back flip straight away, and bolt a bit until they give up. Not an ideal shot to take when close to cover anyway. SNAKEBITE
I find alot will also stay closer to cover when rainning. It is like that ALL the time for me at the moment. Furthest I have seen them out is about 15yds MAX

A thought RIGHT THEN A CHALLENGE TO YOU ALL. WHO IS THE FIRST ON HERE TO GET A FLUFFY BY BAITTING WITH BANANNA SKIN'S LOL Edited January 16, 2006 by 24joy
Lord Geordie
I find heavy rain and they bolt for cover (as do I) Light rain or drizzle and they still sit near their burrows so make sure your shot counts and drops my long ears as if he manages to crawl back into his burrow YOU lose your bunny and HE dies slowly Oh and the MOST IMPORTANT BIT Dry and Wipe your gun with an oily rag when you get home before storing :o Lord Geordie

stupidsalmon
Very grateful for all the replys guys, Went out on sunday and contrary to the weather report it wasnt raining. I finished after 3hrs of patience, with a small 2 rabbits. There was no rain to begin with but it gradually turned spitty and then the wind was blowing in all directions meaning that all angles of stalk(downwind of target) where all over the place. Any way i was fairly happy with two; had 'em in a nice dumpling stew. Cheers SS
