jaystevens1971
Hi guys Upon stripping and cleaning my gun I noticed a slight carbon build up on the magazine tube where the piston sits, I have tried cleaning with various products ie Hoppes and its smooth just a slight black discolouration. I may be being a tart or has anyone else has had the same problem, or should I be a bit more abbrasive with my cleaning of the tube.

I believe the internal design of the Maxus is very similar - and the same thing happens. I use a dab of Solvol Autosol metal polish (you can get in places like Halfords) back to good as new in seconds.
steve_b_wales
I have the same colouring on my shotgun. I remove 99% of it by using HOPPE'S 009 cleaning fluid.

kent
A normal " green" scourer like you might use on a non stick pan will get this off no probs with a little dab of solvent
Dibs
A normal " green" scourer like you might use on a non stick pan will get this off no probs with a little dab of solvent Squirt of Legia and a soft scourer - not too abrasive and still gets rid of it all with a light rub over.
