Gordon R
http://www.browning.com/customerservice/da...etail.asp?id=42 I think you are missing some numbers - you have too many numbers and no letters.
poorpeet
Not trying to teach grandma to suck eggs but isn't the model engraved on the underside of the action just in front of the trigger guard? Mine is '7000 SP1' ie Miroku 7000 grade 1. The serial number under the top lever should end in two letters which will show the year of manufacture. mcw65
The model is only engraved on the newer models.

mcw65
looks like a 3600 from the late 70s but hard to tell with out a better pic.
Miroku Mike
I'll through me hat in the ring, I would say she is a 3800 grade 1 trap gun, judging by that beaver tail forend, it is definatley a trap forend going by the width of it. What ever model it is, it will be a good gun if she's been looked after
mcw65
never seen a 3800 with a black action
Miroku Mike
I stand corrected MCW, how about an 800. My frst gun was an 800w grade 2 she wore a black action. Ill have a look at me Dads old Miroku catalouge, it has all old models in there, including skeet model guns and high ribbed trap guns, the like you never see about. mcw65
Sorry to correct you again but a 800 had a half round action the same as this 700.
duck duster
Mike, whats the difference between a 700 and a 800.
mcw65
700 were game guns the 800 were sporters or trap guns.
Hardwoods Green
No such thing as a 3600, action is wrong shape for a 3800 so if it doesnt have disc set strikers then it is a 3700. The actual model will depend on the side of the rib. Year of manufacture will be approx 1976/77 Happy to help
