I had the day off due to my daughter's first harvest festival so after that i had time on my hands. I popped out for an hour last night with the 22.250 just on dark!!

Was away from the car and within 5mins i spotted a set of eyes about 200 yards away. I was the right side of the wind from her with a good back stop so tried a squeak but with no joy, so safety off and POP; down she went.

Put the range finder on her after and she was 191 yards so not to far out anyway one more less. Saw 4 more but no shot offered. Next time....

Now you have practised with that little round, take your 270 out a push the ranges with it,110 grain ballistic tips leave an exit hole the size of a rabbit on foxes.

Nice to take them at range but you must know your ground,I liketo have a play with the range finder on new ground just to get a measure as at night its not so easy to tell how long a field is.

Good shooting keep it there.

Maddog you would'nt want to wear that Little round ;)

270 bit over kill i think with 150 grain soft point but yes i know what you mean with the exit hole... :good:

i like to call them up within the 150 mark as a roll, but yes i know the ground well it belongs to my family and i have been shooting it all my life so i have a very good idea of a night of the range off the foxes.

but thanks mate for the reply
