FAC air rifle

Question for you guys that shoot with Air Rifles I currently work at an Airfield in Operations,a big part of our duties is bird control, we use various means to disperse birds. Shotgun, Bird Scaring cartridges, and Digital Scarecrow. Problem we have is that the Birds (Corvids mainly) are so used to the Ops vehicle that we cant always get close enough to shoot them.

 

We are looking to add a FAC Air Rifle on to the Air Field ticket for taking longer shots, question I have is ? can we use this from a stationary vehicle, I have been told that we can as long as the permission is granted by the Police, is this correct

Yes, no problems shooting from a stationary vehicle at all, and you don't need to mention it to the police.

I do most of my Vermin control ( with the exception of Pigeons) from a stationary vehicle :blink:

 

so the answer is yes

There were/are issues with deer from vehicles but it does make you wonder where all this stuff comes from, shoot to your hearts content with your rifles at other stuff!

I've shot from the car with no problems... Which airfield are you? if it's any help I have a rimmie and an open ticket if thats any help, you can pm if you dont want to say on here
