miffy
I've not long got back from 2 days stalking with my mate down in Wiltshire. Had a good couple of days and ended up with 9 Roe does, 2 Fallow does, 17 Rabbits and 1 fox. We had 4 outings, with 4 Roe taken on monday morning and 3 on monday night " on Monday night were from a high seat). We then nipped back to my mates house to have some tea before heading off to clear a few rabbits up. Took 17 rabbits rabbits in 45 mins and decided to head back home to get some sleep and to keep my mates lady sweet Got up early this Mornin and after an hours drive to get to the stalking ground i managed to pick up a fox and 2 more Roe does. This evenings stalk at another wood produced 2 Fallow does taken again from a high seat. The picture is of the 9 Roe does that i shot. 2 Roe were already in the chiller. I have taken a few photos that i will post but i need to resize them and this was the only one small enuff, that i could post tonight. I just hope the pic loads :look: :look:

Dunkield
Well done mate that's a fair old bag! I am off to Devon at the weekend, and will be happy with one or two :*) I was going to say some of them still have the heads and legs on, but with that number to deal with it is not surprising :(

Ferret Master
Hi, Where in Wiltshire were you? :( FM
miffy
I was in the marlborough area FM. Stuartp the heads were still on 3 of them i think as we had to head out to get some more and didn't have time to get them done. Just wanted to get them chilled. I used a .243 sauer outback with a reflex sound mod, complete with RWS 100 grain T Mantle bullets, for the deer and for the fox. And .22rf obviously for the pesky wabbits. I only brought 1 a fallow back and that has gone to the butchers to be done out into steaks and venison and leek sausages.

miffy
:( Just got the fox pic from my camcorder and tommy is resizing my deer pics for me. The fox was seen running across a field on the the edge of the wood we was stalking in so a quick call stopped it in its tracks and in it came. The crafty bugga stopped behind a tree (as they do) and i couldn't see it fully. It was only about 40 yards so i moved forward slightly and shot it in the head, its head was the only bit i could see. Shot it with the .243 with 100 grain factory ammo, i took another photo close up but that might turn a few stomachs
