Hi, I was just wondering if anyone knew the answer to this?

If I have a moderator thats half unf (T4) and I wanted to fit it to a rifle that has been screw cut to something else, would I be able to get some kind of 'adaptor' to solve this propblem or does it mean I would have to get the rifle screw cut again to take the mod?

ATB :good:

I don't want to be accused of being pedantic mark, but would you honestly fit a part from an airsoft gun onto a centrefire rifle and blast away?

And people say not having rifles re-proofed after threading is a risk....

I guess it is up the OP to decide what he wants to do, I know what I would do.

they make them for centre fire rifles, the links i put up are to show type.

steve kershaw makes them regular, if you want to beat yer chest do it with him.

All it would take is a piece of the correct spec bar being cut to 14x1 female and then milled down and threaded to 1/2"UNF male on the other end. Then drill a hole that's bigger than the rifle bore down the centre. As the bullet exits the rifle muzzle there would no longer be any friction in the over bored adaptor and the gasses could vent as usual into the mod.

I don't see the problem? It would add 1/2" or so to the length of the gun but that's all?
