goldypurple
Im looking to put a variation in on my fac, with Norfolk police Im looking to chop the .223 in for a .243, as i think another stalking rifle is in need to the .308, so ill get a one for one on that. Im also looking to get a .17, for longer range rabbits etc, i take it ill have to pay the £26 variation fee for this one. On the application form, have i got to supply my references again? and what other sections have i got to fill in? only had my ticket 6 months Thanks in advance Andy
Breastman
Fee yes Refs no I've never used FF101 for variations, its a generic form and imho isn't suited well for variations. I just write a letter/email and send that with my FAC and cheque Mark Edited December 1, 2010 by Breastman
kyska
My force asks that a firearm application is filled out without the referees and a covering letter.
Paddy Galore!
My force asks that a firearm application is filled out without the referees and a covering letter. Same here, norfolk like the forms to be filled in, the only part not needed are the photos and referees.

Dekers
My region insist on the forms, but times they are a changing, they also have email now and WILL talk to you on it, so who knows what each region want, probably best to simply ask them! Breastman
That's what it's called on my forces website anyway, I think it's the 101 that's the important bit!

Well, there you go, I know several regions call it a FIR 101, and whilst they may all have there own version of the form, I thought that's what all regions called it, you learn something every day! markbivvy
Firearms form 101 or FF101. used universally by all the firearms departments in the UK.
Dekers
Firearms form 101 or FF101. used universally by all the firearms departments in the UK. Thames Valley, Wilts and the Met call it a FIR 101 (unless things have changed very recently), and it is DIFFERENT in each region. So certainly not universal. Wouldn't it be nice if Firearms regions did do things Universally!

Munnty's and CWD are legal with the .223 and you won't get a better round for charlie.
