50ml in 55 Litres of juice, i reckon that's about a 1:1100 ratio. Shouldn't make one iota of difference, you could probably put 50ml of strawberry jam (seedless) and 50ml of brown sauce in there as well......... would have the same effect.

Some car sites do seem to be seeing a benefit of adding 2 stroke oil to diesel but at a greater ratio than 1:1100?

I have read about this before on other forums, from what I gather it is supposed to lubricate the top-end of the engine and make the tappets quieter on strike up in the mornings

Some people claim to get more mpg but some people would claim that if they were getting better mpg if they put stawberry jam or any other liquid . . .

I think you need something like 2/300ml per tank . . . obviously depends on the size of your tank.

Stick 300ml in and see what you think, Oh and let us know.

I have already done it in my old L200.

50ml was what i was told but i knew i would get nearer to the answer on here .so there can be improvement to engine adding the correct dosage to the fuel .noel

Depends what you mean by improvements? Some people say it will make improvements to you wallet by slimming it down for you. Others swear that the engine is quieter and more powerful. Cross between snake oil and placebo effect methinks. Although if i'm being honest i did chuck some in my GV this time last year and i reckoned it was quieter but not by that much as i haven't bothered continuing the experiment

There was a thread on here that said much the same thing, but about 300ml to a tank.

I tried it and got 10% more milage in my VW Transporter. My mate gets 12% more in his Disco 300.

And the wifes Toyota 2.2 auto MPV does exactly the same as before. The engine does however sound better, and the gear changes seem smother as the engine revs seems more controlled.

It works out that two stoke from Mole Valley is less than a pound per tank, but can save 2 or more gallons per tank :good:

blimey your transporter holds 20 gallons that must smart when you fill up

It does 500 miles on 75 litres, 3 gallons per 100.

With two stroke in 10% would be 550 miles, but I can get 560+ if I drive carefully. An equivilent of putting almost two more gallons in.

All racked out with tools, spares etc. it weighs 2.8 tons. Based on that I would think an empty one would do a lot better.

its not all about changing the mpg

my td5 responded very well , a huge differance in cold start chatter , no smoke whilst under load , and slightly better response on pull away .

fuel economy may be up , i dont know , but the quietness is worth the couple of quid a month on morrisons cheapy oil ,
