just got back shot 36 pigeons,went out at 9-30 till 3.there were a lot about, now its raining,

seen a lot more out today (suffolk) but in large flocks

they are just starting to hit the rape around my way now walked about a hundred or so of the rape this morning going to give it a go mid week weather permitting

the rape is still under 2 ft of snow here but the pigeons are hitting the sprouts hard shot 120 between verminator and my self today on them .back out tommorow must have been 1000 on the field first thing this morning

very little snow round me and the farms we shoot; so if birds are on the rape we;being me and the old fella will definately set up and hope for a few to come in to the decoys;last winter snow was everywhere and we didn;t bother with them out of compassion;but come the summer we shot around 2000 pigeons so call me a hypocrite if you like but we didn;t shoot that many all winter last year so we made up for it in the summer and autum months;and now its going to nbe the same this winter with small bags and sometimes not shooting anything so the moral is take what you can when you can due to the lean times you will have so evens its self out in the end
