I think that some of these people need some facts. Switzerland has the highest gun ownership per person in world - yet has the lowest rate of gun crime. It's all about training and being taught respect, which the Swiss get through their mandatory army training.

Banning firearms just makes things harder. At least if someone steals my gun and it's recovered from a the scene of the crime, it comes straight back to me. Ban them and what leads have you got?!

He got a bit tied up with keeping guns in one secure location, that would be a disaster  Can't see my local plod wanting to open up for me to foxing in the evening and then wait until I return many hours later

Would we have to do all the re-loading at the police station??

Sorry Billy that is incorrect and is stated as so in the report published today

Comparisons between industrialised countries show that there is a correlation

between the levels of gun ownership and gun violence. This country has one of the

lowest rates of gun death with annual gun homicides in England and Wales at 0.10 18 Firearms Control

per 100,000 population compared, for example, with 0.69 in Canada, 0.93 in

Switzerland and 3.52 in the USA.

However Swiss attitudes are very impressive, What actual channel is the debate on? BBC parliament? I'll catch up on it later.
