coneyhunter
Hello all, i have a slot for a .357 LBR on my ticket and was looking at purchasing one to use in the club, however i have recently read that i cannot take the gun home with me if owned and it must be stored at my gun club...is this correct? i was not informed of this by the my local FRD if so. Imperfection
LBR's can legally be stored at home in a conventional gun cabinet. I know you can still own conventional length pistols, but these have to be stored at designated clubs like Bisley and are delivered by security guards then collected when you've finished.I think you're confusing these with LBR's. lineshooter
I know the police don`t like Lbr`s used as club guns but there`s no restrictions I know too, its only section 7 pistols that stay at an approved club.
SilentKill
not sure where you heard that, but you can keep your LBR's at home without any issues.

marktattoo
Excellent to hear, perhaps the person who stated this was confused, cheers gents, problem solved had mine on sec 1 fac for about a year stored at home when not in use as my other firearms are no problems, the only thing you need to be aware of when you purchase one it is for you to use and nobody else ie you can't give permission for anybody else to use your lbr

coneyhunter
i would love a S&W but can only seem to find a taurus, which is fine as i have shot them previously, i had a go of a Star or Astra? carbine a long time ago but cant seem to find them. lineshooter
I was tempted sometime back, I shot the Ruger, which was a heavy beast and the Taurus, which is a near copy of the S&W but lighter. They shoot PP at our club but I could`nt get on with them, not like shooting a real revolver although I do like the look of the Browning LB semi auto. Also seen pictures of an interesting lbr made by a company called Alfa, looks like a Colt Python with a shoulder stock and detachable foregrip, can`t find any pics of it on Google at the moment though. Completely different guns! you cant compare the Smith to a Taurus..... sacrilege lol
Cannon
Having fired lots of revolvers I can safely say that if you can, buy a Smith. They are refined compared to Taurus, although the Taurus' aren't bad guns. It would be S&W every time for me though
lineshooter
Smith and Wesson sadly don`t make a Lbr, they sell enough sensible length barrel versions in countries that have no silly pistol bans.
Scully
lowmillranges.co.uk can get hold of most things, they also do a lot of customising/conversions etc if you're interested. They wont be the only ones of course.Taurus were once regarded as S&W clones, but are now highly regarded in the States, but if it were me,it would have to be a S&W. They are not made at the factory but there are limited numbers of converted ones in the UK...

S&W don't make one but the Taurus is a copy of the S&W. A lot better than you think from listening to the negative comments on here. But with all LBRs the balance is wrong. So you want something light. The Rugers are horrible, far too heavy.

I agree, the Ruger Redhawk was never a 'looker' in my opinion, but there are weight/forearm extensions available which render LBR's more balanced.
