leeds chimp
Been offered a Walther G22 Rimfire with scope mod 2 x 10 shot mags and the carry hardcase for £190...thought it might be worth a look. Anyone had any experience of theses or is it one to avoid as it would be my first .22lr cheers
Beardo
i wouldn't bother if you want it for hunting, get an old Annie .22lr for less money. the G22 is a plinker not a hunter
artschool
i wouldn't bother if you want it for hunting, get an old Annie .22lr for less money. the G22 is a plinker not a hunter spot on advice. one of my friends has one. great for a laugh with the laser at 25 yards, they look tacticool but...... the rail that the scopes mounted on will not hold zero even aparently with the aftermarket fix, the gun also is prone to jamming if not cleaned(which is difficult due to the bullpup config). having said that i would probably buy one for plinking at the range. the price seems about right. the running man
Not really a good gun for ure first gun. Nice looking thing, with a good idea of spare mag behind the feeding one,the rail and carry handle are good too,but avoid the rubber flimsy carry handled ones (the early one),the accuracy is not match grade, and I've never met anyone who's got one that has not had lotus with the feeding......that said, its a fair price and would make an ideal multi rabbit gun,if u can resolve the lotus feeding......they fit extremely well into the shoulder, and are excellent at fast acquisitional targets I.e. Rabbits. Would make a good fun gun. what I can tell u is I've never once seen one in use in competition.
Paddy Galore!
as all of the above mate, semis are nice if you like that kind of thing, but there are plenty out there cheaper and better. how many 22lr slots did you get on your ticket? lineshooter
As the other posts, a few guys at our club brought G22`s when they came out, ammo fussy as well I seem to remember, more so a can tumbler really, they nearly all have Gsg5`s now. It`s a good price but there are better .22`s out there.
Coolhead
They are awesome fun but not suitable for a first 22lr. They hate Eley due to them having half a candle of wax hanging off most of them. I've put 150 rounds through mine with no jams or deep cleans on remington. A mini toothbrush and cotton buds will sort it. It makes all the right Hollywood noises and can be blinged up like a chav's Clio innit? They can take all the weaver tac gadgets including cheap airsoft ones. It's 60% plastic but still a real crowd pleaser. I can get 3 rounds a second out of it :o Not accurate and not practical but I wouldn't ever get rid of mine. Better to get a CZ for a first 22lr. Pastiebap
Had mine a few years and never had any issues. Never jammed but doesn't like cci ammo of any description. I have her zeroed out to 100 and the accuracy is spot on. Like anything it's horses for courses. Although it is a pain in the **** to clean.
