RC45
I tried to dig one out of a cartridge that wasn't seated properly, I nearly jumped out the window when it went off!!
Worstan
I was a little more cautious with the next one!!
njc110381
So far that's never happened to me and I've got to say - I'd rather you than me! Having fired a primed case I know it's surprisingly loud and I recon you did ok with the result of just the dog ******** itself!
RC45
I just remembered, I had to test a shotgun. I emptied a couple of carts and fired the primers, you would not believe the mess made in the barrels

CZ550Kevlar
I always reload wearing ear defenders and safety glasses and make sure that my study door is closed so that if i do have an explosion i know it isn`t going to scare the daylights out of my daughter and wife. Why dig it out why not decap it in the normal way on the press , so long as you apply a slow constant pressure it shouldnt pose a problem . I use the same for my .223, had a few go pop now, it seems to happen if the seating baset bounces on the bench. Don't worry it isn't exciting, you may or may not hear the pop (the hammer blow hides it) the first I knew something was not right was the priming punch coming out covered in soot, that is when you lift it out, it won't go into orbit.
