wymberley
Hi,All, While staying within the design parameters of the Subject lamp system (seems a handy bit of kit), is there anything better - in the sense of longer range capability? Obviously there's a limit, so I suppose the question could read, has Clulite reached it? Cheers

wymberley
its twice the price for 60 Lumens more! Hi, Take your point and to really rub it in, I make it just 10 more: 260-250. Cheers
SilentKill
Hi, Take your point and to really rub it in, I make it just 10 more: 260-250. Cheers i cant remember how many lumens my masterlite is, i thought it was 200? i could be wrong it may be 250! but for the £100 it cost me i'm not going to complain! although recently i have been on the lookout for something with a bit more legs! but i cant justify the extra expense for little gain! V8 90
There's been some top reviews about the Tiablo A10 on BBS- They certainly rate them high above the Masterlite. I had a play with a Masterlite at Euroguns last year at their NV event & wasn't impressed at all - same with the ND-3 laser

Yep, Think you're right, it's over engineered to put on a Hornet. Also, unlike the Clulite, the scope mount only allows vertical adjustment of the beam. In your opinion, how far can you see to shoot, say, fox, with the Clulite? Cheers

Cheers Well i was using it on my Daystate to good effect with the red filter, recently been using it on the HMR but i only shoot out to about 150 max, but i can see fox to 200 yards clearly. Was watching one on a golf course the other day (excellent for range finding) and if my gun had the legs i wouldnt have hesitated to take him.... i do find the masterlite is a little brighter with a set of surefire batteries in though using the red filter! steve_b_wales
I use a Blaserlite 2 million cp. It's bigger than the supreme, but has a greater range, and is a lot cheaper. It's also reasonably light in weight when attaching to a scope.
ostrea
I have the Clulite Masterlite Supreme excellent piece of kit, i use it for rats on my Weihrauch HW100 T, Rabbits on the .22 rimfire and on my Tika 223 excellent to 150 yds but will show the eyes up to 250 yds. Anything beyond the 150 yds i use the lightforce 170.
wymberley
Hi, All, PS www.flashaholics.co.uk Edit: Content of post which related to lamping style torches deleted but have left the retailer's details as it seems we have found an honest outfit: I have spoken to them and in addition to the torch that was detailed here, he has refused to stock/sell a further 3 from the same maker until it is confirmed that various ongoing problems are resolved. Steyr 6.5
Hi all. Ive just taken delivery of a JETBEam BC40. Will be testing it out over the next week or so and will write a report on it once complete. This is a nice bit of kit claiming over 300 yards range. Take a look at the site. http://www.jet-beam.co.uk/ Cheers Steve
kdubya
seen a couple of thrunite catapult v2 lamps used as scope mounted lamps look good and seem better than the clulite/ cree version (cheaper as well) KW

Steyr 6.5
Just took it out for a spin. Weather not so good but had stopped raining when I got out. I compared it to the Clulite Shootalite that I currently use on my rifle. Pretty much pound for pound the BC40 matched it. Bearing in mind this is against the naked eye, I think looking through the scope at the white light will be better at range. It picked up Rabbits and they didnt seem bothered. On low range I could see easily with the naked eye upto 100 yards and full power 200 yards easily and the far hedgeline that is exactly 260 yards away could be seen with the naked eye, obviously looking through a scope would have been better. So far so good. Just need to get it on the scope now and see what its like. Tried it with the Cluson filters covering it, the red took a lot out of it but the Amber was pretty good. Will need a specific filter for this, the normal lamp filters are too thick. Hoping the Masterlite filters will fit.
