Sky box

Having never quite embraced the Technical Revolution, can someone please explain to me what happens when Sky come to install a Sky box.

So that we can watch Sky in different rooms (my Wife hates sport), I have decided to buy her the box as a birthday present (she doesn't know about the "present" bit yet :) )

They are coming at the end of this month to instal it and I would like to know what to expect. ;)

I already have Sky , so I assume I don't get another dish.

Do they split the feed from my current dish and run a cable to the new TV location ?

This could be a problem, as its quite a distance and I don't want cables all over the place.

Especially with their "basic" free installation.

They will run the second cable from the dish also, they should literally run it as a new installation (less the dish obviously)

My neignbour has 2 boxes and i was confused (until he told me) why there were 2 wires running from the dish.

Should look a little like this........

Thanks for the info Gentlemen. :)

I will have to work out a discrete route for the cable before they get here.

I don't want it running down walls in full view, either outside, or inside.

It might be better if I get them to fit the piece on the dish and leave the cable routing until I can get a "proper" Installer in. ;)
