steve_b_wales
Never heard of it, and I always make sure that it's tightened to it's fullest.

Dekers
New one on me, I don't see that should be any different from any other semi. One tip...I know you all clean your semis every time you use then, but if you tighten this nut up as firm as possible by hand, and Don't undo it regularly to clean the gun, you will find you need a wrench to get it off after a period! PS...a little oil on the thread will not go amiss!
The Burpster
extract from Hatstands own instruction manual.... •Screw (clock-wise) the fore-end cap until it is tight and the fore-end is held firmly in place. (9) I beieve your mates shop was spouting poo, OR trying to save himself some sweating and swearing when it comes back in for mending after its fired lots of rounds and never been cleaned..... PS...a little oil on the thread will not go amiss! I think that may be the origin of this. I leave my moderator on my LR when it's in the cabinet but I always loosen and re-tighten it before putting it away, keeps it from getting too seized up... same would apply for the forenut on a semi.
