a different way of getting permission....

Successful morning today as my mrs has just skinned the one bunny I got last night and we take them up to the farm shop by the house and swap them for cheese and bread etc...

When she was in there she met the farmer and result! He has said I can shoot the whole farm after I have had a chat with him (hopefully this evening). I am not sure which fields he owns, but I know that one of them which is always full of pigeons, rabbits and often french partridge and pheasant (have to wait until Oct for those though) is the other side of the hedge from my garden! whoohoo! :good::D

So, tip is, if you are struggling with permissions - send someone to ask who has large breasts and a low cut top (preferably female).

make sure you double check before you shoot game

alot of farmers i shoot for have said along the lines of 'shoot everything'

but i know i would get shot myself if i shot game

not many places around me that let me shoot game, most have small syndicates or family/friend pheasant shoots

Thanks for the advice I will check about the game-it is not an arable farm though-they breed rare cattle for the farm shop so I dont think the game which is there is put there by anyone else or shot by anyone...

It was the girlfriend with the chesticles and no, before anyone asks I am not posting a pic! :-P

  • 1 month later...

Give us a shout if you fancy a team up.Im not far.

Not seen the farm you talk of with cattle but the main fields well most of them are rented by 1 farmer which ive had trouble finding...I found the owners parents were farmers but they have not carried on the footsteps so rent it all out.

He lets quite a few shooters on.Not aware of any Game shoots near that end but I know theres Deer which will be fun Deer season, not much bunnies that way, more Deer and pigeon with Fox.

I tried the horse stadium down there and other places with no joy, just would like to know were to catch that farmer who rents all that land (might not be same farmer as yours as this farmer works the land but I bet he will know them).I been pigeon shooting with a few over there but didnt realise that 1 farmer rents all them fields and didnt want to step on the toes if you get what I mean.As you come out of knowle going away from Birmingham/solihull (hard to describe)literaly the first few miles of fields are rented to him.I will be heading back over now weathers better if you fancy coming knocking let me know.

Give me a shout if you fancy a day out,my place is dead at the minute but your more then welcome to pop over..
