oscarsdad
I use a deben atom tracer tactical - completely gun mounted as battery is on stock of rifle and switch can be mounted on the fore grip - works great
Dave-G
I use a deben atom tracer tactical - completely gun mounted as battery is on stock of rifle and switch can be mounted on the fore grip - works great Agreed if using at air or moderate rimfire ranges - with the major bonus that red flip down filters can be used on it reliably and that it has a dimmer feature, I use one on my FAC air rifle. It's even better with a custom made battery pack having higher amp hour ratings and 13.2 volts! Original poster - you might like to tell us what rifle type, if you are rabbiting, on foot, out the roof of vehicle, big and fit enough to carry a heavy battery unit for longer ranges, willing to put up with the obstructive lightforce types that several lampers are likely to recommend shortly just because they bought a bulky obstructive monster themselves that is better suited to a pair of lampers rather than a lone man on walkabout with a rifle slung over his shoulder etc.

huntsman
the 140 on a rimmy is just fine, tad bit bulky but you can shoot ok with it. the 170 not a chance ,you need a lamping buddy

weejase
I use a cluson sl2 and a striker 170 I`m thinking about getting a deben tri-star pro though as It has a lithium battery and Is led The 170 has the best light throwing power but It Is a big lamp. I like the cluson sl2 as It has a small lamp and you get a good beam even with an amber filter on.
