Nicky T
has anyone asked the man if he woiuld like to go to the north vs south meet? as its for charity? Funnily enough, yes Here is his reply: "Dear Nick Thank you very much for your email. Unfortunately I am in America that date shooting the Triple Classic at Rio Brazos. I hope you have a very successful day and raise lots of money for such a worthwhile Charity. Kind regards George"

DSPUK
Keith If I have shot 1k 8's in last 28 yrs that's it - one choke one shell man me 7.5's - shot even less 9's. All stems from my early days shooting Winchester Blue light's - the original ones and they only came in 7.5's. Well shot Keith - I will struggle to match that score but will do my best. DSPUK
what a day -- Stifling hot - started not to bad - got to end of line at car park doing ok - walked round to left hand side and hit a brick wall - heat and fat i gue took it's toll goofed rabbit stand by missing three of second rabbits then lost will to live - just pointed gun in general direction of clays and pulled trigger - come to the conclusion I am now DTL fodder - just too old to walk these long shoots. - will do better though at charity shoot -- Have to say the shoot wasn't ridiculously hard - loads of stand where 8x8 should be norm and just a few testers - stand 5 or 6 with the green L/R quatering dropping away - managed 7x8 where the other members of squad goofed it but further round tables were turned - I can see how 116 was achieved - Oh well live to die another day -- hit 88 by way. Dave And don't forget Dave that in those days Winchester shells were made in Italy to Italian specs so your 7.5's were really a 7. The Winner 8's that the late A J "Smoker" Smith used to promote were actually a UK 7.5 This 1/2 a shot size bigger was one reason why Winchester cartridges always had a reputation for being very hard hitting.
