  6. Well done Gunfire & welcome to Clay shooting. Brian is an excellent instructor & you picked a good ground to begin your shooting habit  I would advise you to try a few guns first dont rush in or you may be chopin & changing. If you have any friends that shoot or fancy a walk round with some of the lads on a saturday morning at Doveridge then just PM me. You'll find most shooters will be very helpful. Good Luck :good:
  7. Looks like the Northern team are getting ready to reclaim the trophy back from the south with the scores If only I could shoot rabbits   and 3 of them on the same stand really did me head in, missed 5 of them also missed 4 on stand 11 & 3 on stand 8. As always with Hodnet it was a great shoot nothing miles away just tricky combinations, I thought it may have been a little tougher than London but I would sooner shoot Hodnet anytime
  8. I'm on at 13.15pm and looking forward to it. I took the semi out for a spin last weekend & even give it a clean for a change & had a jam free round
  9. Hi Dave, it was nice to meet you again yesterday and I agree with you about the 14 stands giving a better layout & shorter waiting time at stands. There's plenty of work going on at shuggy & I think there was around 150 entries yesterday.
  10. I gave Catamongs CPSA number and name today, so my 57 should go a long way to help his averages. Thats always a good trick I bet cat will be scratching his head about that when he checks his scores now he's in AAA
  11. Good shells those gamebore CS sporting :D
  12. Nice to see a big turn out by PW lads today & it looked like you was having fun in the squad giving Matt some rib. I was shooting like a dream & on for a 97 with two stands to do, one of which was the rabbit & as normal I managed to make a right hash of it :hmm: and missed 4 + another 1 on the last stand to finish on 92 so happy enough. Mr P you should know what the weathers like in them there hills so you missed a good day at shuggy
  13. It's Shuggy & 100 A/R at Doveridge this sunday. Then Doveridge start there Winter series on the 30th October so get in Rich on your B class as they have a Browning 525 in each class & you will stay in the class that you start in
  14. Now Mr P it must have been a bad day Ive spoken to Alan today & he had a bad shoot so god knows what it must have been like on the way home with you pair in the car :o who rang the Samaritans first
  15. I shot 101 at Hodnet though I missed a few I should'nt have, still it was a fantastic shoot. Went to Westfield on sunday some of them long birds with a tail wind took some hitting, finished on 88 & happy
  16. Just got back from Hodnet & as always Tom knows how to put a shoot on to test all abillities without going extream distance. There was nothing that couldnt be shot with 1/4 & 1/2. though I missed a few sitters with my 3/4 fixed choke to finish on 101 :) Happy with that but I think I'll go & shoot it again next week because it was that good a shoot :good:
  17. Northern Gunner Went down to Doveridge on Saturday with John Ord and shot a 86 which was joint high gun in the Team event and 3rd in then open so won a £50 shop voucher. Good day out for a good charity (ACF Fund) Well shot northern gunner with your 86, I shot the ACF shoot at doveridge on saturday also. I got the high gun in the open with 90 and missed 3 on the last stand. if they do another one next yesr we will have to put a PW team in
  18. I'm with you my 3/8th & 5/8ths fixed choke will kill anything. one less thing to think about.
  19. I took 10 thousand to shuggy last time, thankfully the lads took them off me & I did'nt have to take any home. I know why because they went up in price the week after :hmm:
  20. Guess living with the inlaws was not so good then , I bet the Perazzi on the back burner also now the mortgage payments will start again. Regards K
  21. Hi All, I'm shooting it with Nicky T on Friday, any other PW members doing it this weekend :hmm: If so good luck to all of you :good: Cheers K
  22. Worsley today for me, good shoot but a bit wind affected. I managed an 84 though I can see a 92+ winning it
  23. Dave, not long back myself we had a blow out ont the M40 just past heathrow. In the outside lane doing 90 & bang poor Lindon didint know if he was on this earth or fullers earth. Just a bit like my first stand 5 away suspect reff, then constant jamms for the first 7 stands. It was my own fault for not cleanning the gun cause it never missed a beat on wednesday. I took it apart and give it a clean half way round & it was fine. So I managed to finish on 100 x 120 not to bad, though I thought it was friday the 13th. Regards K
