TaxiDriver
What is the most simple way to cook a couple of fresh but frozen rabbits ? Am not much of a cook and haven't had rabbit before so I want to see what it tastes like without being influenced by other flavours. Can you roast it like a chicken ? henry d
Simply......yes. Rub all over with fat/oil and cook it low and slow if it is an adult or fast n hot if it is 1/2-3/4 grown
pavman
a nice simple method is to thaw it out and dice into cubes and shallow fry in butter, for a nice treat shallow fry some leeks in butter, cut leeks into slices across the veg so they form circles once soft add the rabbit and a drizzle of honey and fry until brown, serve onto mash spuds, you can make a sauce with the juice if you like just add a little plain flour then milk and whisk on a low heat and then poor over Simples

zab10
boil the rabbit in a pot till it is falling off the bone , allow to cool and seperate all meat from the bone . chop 1 small onion 3 large mushrooms and as much bacon as you like and mix together with the rabbit . then add a tin of campbells condensed soup (i like chicken the best) put all this in a pie dish and cover with puff pastry and cook till pastry is ready and its good to eat . quick easy and tasty
