GregR
Hi Guys, Rather than buy my cartriges at the local clay grounds, I was wondering if there are places with a better selection or cheaper prices that I should be using? I'm based in Edinburgh, and tried a place called "cartridge world" but they had a poor selection and the Lylevale Express Pro 28g 9s I bought seem very 'mucky', and the brass was pretty rusty - not very confidence inspiring at £55/250. I looked on the Gamebore website to find a local stockist - but there's no info on the site. I've emailed them to ask who the local stockist is .. again no response All comments welcome. Cheers, Greg
Nial
Greg, I'm in Eskbank and would be interested to know if you find one. I too tried Cartridge World but it's right across town and they weren't that cheap. The quickest for me is Mains in Haddington though I'm not sure if he concentrates more on game rather than clay cartridges. It might be worth giving them a ring for prices. Nial. Quote Millers Town & Country, Dalkeith, Tel: 0131 6603921 I didn't know they sold cartridges, there's no mention on their web site. Quote Lochside Tackle & sports, West Lothiam, Tel: 01506 671477 Looks like this is Linlithgo so Haddington's closer for me still. Let us know how you get on, the three in Dalkeith would all be very convenient for me if they distribute to anyone. Nial.
billytheghillie
if your down the borders way try Ian at the St.Boswells gunroom, he has a large selection and is reasonably priced, also try Braidwood Sporting Clays at Midlem about 8 miles from Boswells, they usually have deals on and is open to non-members. Hope this helps.
humperdingle
If you're ever over the Forth Bridge, "We're Game" in Kirkcaldy (01592 654301) is a stockist of Gamebore carts. I buy 32 gram steel no.4s off him for £50 per 250 (I need steel-shot birds). The guy's name is Andy. If you phone or call in, say Mark told you about the shop (brownie points lol)
figgy
Caledonian cartridges are good to shoot,Probably the best game cart I've used. They do a clay cartridge range , though I've never tried them. But they are Scottish if you like to support your own. They are not very cheap, but delivered to your door. Also worth checking just cartridges if your buying by the thousand. ATB figgy
M ROBSON
+1 for We're Game in Kirkcaldy. Andy is a Gamebore stockist and often gets deliveries of their clearance stock at reduced prices. I once got 6k gamebore clear pigeon from him, they were for the export market and boxed up as a game cartridge, someone at Gamebore had made a mistake and the print was in Danish instead of German, they can't use lead in Denmark!!!! Got them for £60 per thousand cheaper than clear pigeon normally are. Mark.
DSPUK
Just to give you an idea I have just ordered Eley Firsts 28g in 7.5 plastic - costing me £139 a thousand. - That is down here in England though. £220 quid for Express Pro comp - I would tell him to stick em Dave

One good thing is they give you 1000 off prices for a mix and match, provided you buy 1000 and minimum 250 of each type.. Get a few mates together and bulk buy to save on transport.
