Frank
Mooching threw some more photos of mine this evening, i got a couple i took last June one morning when i woke early to the sound of pine martens squabbling in my garden over food. I took a pic of one, but had to be quick, picture below. I then decided to go for a walk just to see what else i could get photos of and low and behold, a mother vixen and her cubs playing in the feild , just 2 feilds away from my house. I managed to take one photo, before the sound of the camera sent the scurrying back to their den. Pic of the fox family below. So their you go, a soft side of me :*) . AndyCM
Great photos Frank, did you bait the straw bale too ? what sort of distance were you from the foxes ? & what camera did you use ? I often think I should have a decent camera with me in the field - so much to snap - today I saw a heron on a garden pond (right next to a plastic heron decoy / ornament) - would of made a good photo for all fish lovers ! Frank
frank did you catch up with the foxes at a later date when you had the rifle ? as i know your a keen fox shot !! cheers BS I was tempted mate and would of done if they did not all scatter. But then again, they were not doing harm at the time, but i know from experience that they would have done in the future, although i never had any complaints from the farmer which owns that particular feild after that. Ferret Master
The wife is going 'Awwwwww' and I have to agree, they are great pics Frank. Thanks mate. Hi, Axe that's because they are mustilids and if she 'Awwwwwwws' at Ferrets she will 'Awwwwwww' at a Pine Martin. Here's Nippy when she was 10 weeks old. Frank
Great photos Frank Do they cut silage and feed the cows too? Not sure that I'd trust'em enough to bottle feed any pet lambs though No John, no would i As it happens, just had the farmer in quetion who owns the feild come round for a cup of tea and chat. He noticed the pic on my computer and looked at it for a while and then said 'Hang on a tick, thats my feild', he then said,'bloddy things on me bales, they will **** all over them!!' Had to lough, but he then said to me if i see that again, to shoot them right away, i agreed. Edited April 8, 2006 by Frank
