drumsoldier
Hi All, Got an old 12g Baikal O/U twin trigger that I use for the pigeons, was wondering about recoil pads for it,as its got a "down to the bone kick" compared to the Beretta. Tryed using lighter loads which helps a bit Any suggestions/comments would be much appreciated. Gordon R
Sorbothane are supposed to be one of the better ones, but the best is a recoil pad in your clothing.
twitchynik
See if you can find one from a Miroku. It's got a honeycomb mesh bit in the middle and the contouring on the shoulder end of it fits really well when mounting and shooting. Take a look at an MK38 Trap, that's the one you want. PhilR
A Kickeez pad is the one to go for, they're made of Sorbothane in a variety of styles and thicknesses. If the recoil is that bad it is more than likely the fit of the gun and screwing a different recoil pad on the back end is unlikely to cure the real problem. Might be an idea to compare the difference between the stock height, drop of comb from front to rear, length of pull, cast and comb thickness between the Baikal and Beretta, I reckon that's where the problem will be. Paul T
I've heard a few people say that Baikals kick like a mule... Personally I like my pachmyr pad and I'm sure mine's the SC100 .
