Well the forecast was perfect and we had planned a trip 6 miles past the Needles, up and on the boat by 6.00am and out we go, get to the Needles and its blowing a bit and very sloppy, spent an hour to catch 6 mackerel and decided we were not going out deep today, snuck back into the Solent and fished for bream, first spot we blanked so after 2 hours, about 20 knots of wind and some rain.....who makes up these forecasts ?? we moved and found some fish

37 Bream

2 small smouthhounds

30 dogfish,

Oh well at least I have my super tonight, right lets get the BBQ lit yum!!

at least with that lot,you wont need any chips!! :good: :good:

we just kept the 8 the rest went back, there is serious pressure from angling locally on these fish, a charter boat with 10 anglers can catch over 200 and there are many fishing boats locally, I have seen over 40 boats on a mark, so take what you can eat, the rest go back, got to make sure there is a future for fishing :good:

What boat are you using when in Poole, after all the grief you've had this week, maybe a navy destroyer would be good :yp: :lol:
