docholiday Posted June 27, 2011 Report Share Posted June 27, 2011 Well the forecast was perfect and we had planned a trip 6 miles past the Needles, up and on the boat by 6.00am and out we go, get to the Needles and its blowing a bit and very sloppy, spent an hour to catch 6 mackerel and decided we were not going out deep today, snuck back into the Solent and fished for bream, first spot we blanked so after 2 hours, about 20 knots of wind and some rain.....who makes up these forecasts ?? we moved and found some fish 37 Bream 2 small smouthhounds 30 dogfish, Oh well at least I have my super tonight, right lets get the BBQ lit yum!! docholiday Posted June 27, 2011 Author Report Share Posted June 27, 2011 at least with that lot,you wont need any chips!! :good: we just kept the 8 the rest went back, there is serious pressure from angling locally on these fish, a charter boat with 10 anglers can catch over 200 and there are many fishing boats locally, I have seen over 40 boats on a mark, so take what you can eat, the rest go back, got to make sure there is a future for fishing Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
