Farma Geddon
Pitts are really corrosion .In my case it is a manufacturing flaw. The chrome has lifted and therefore the barrel was not prepared properly.Either it was rusty before being treated or some other problem. You can check for them by sliding a small screwdriver upto any anomoly and if it loses altitude, you got de pox..... I learnt today that Malcom Grendon is going to replace the barrel for the boy,so he is a happy chappy.

Hammergun
If your gun has developed serious pitting, then you should take it to your gunsmiths for assessment. It may require re-proof to ensure that the barrels are still sound. Always clean your gun after use, and leave a thin oil film on the insides and outsides of the barrels. Don't over-oil as this can stress the barrels on the first shot.
dodeer
I normally use 12 bores but occasionally i will use a 20 or a 10 firing 57gr 4 shot. Awsome range!!!

Swab out any oil from the barrels before taking the gun into the field.

Pigeon Pieman
Beretta Silver Pigeon 28" barrels (12 bore) with 1/4 and 1/2 chokes for everything that isn't driven game! Put 3/4 and full in for driven things for a bit of extra 'reach'. I like to use 32g sixes - not much gets away!! Also have a AA S410 for sneaking up on the odd bunny or two and looking into a .22 rimfire for serious ''bunny nudging'. Also have daddy's pair of Willian Evans' 26'' game guns in the cabinet at the moment. I find them a bit light but enjoy using them as it means he couldn't get out to play!!
