jacksdad
Jenolite is my fave brand Its basically Phosphoric Acid in a gel, so be careful, it doesn't half sting yer skin, wear gloves (and don't go for a hit n miss without washing hands thoroughly  Turns rust black when its cured, wait half an hour then paint. Simples!

V8landy
Turns rust black when its cured, wait half an hour then paint. Simples! The phosphoric acid converts Fe2O3 (rust) to black ferric phosphate, FePO4. Edited July 17, 2011 by V8landy
inthedark
I'm just on with a diesel tank, and chose Kurust. Certainly does the chemical conversion bit.
mick miller
Hydrate 80 seems to work well. It's quite fluid and easy to work into nooks and crannies / between seams. Possibly sprayable?
Tiger955i
HI Mate Jenolite is good but I think that KuRust has the edge. Good luck
