I had a couple of hours on some rape stubble this afternoon. There was about 150 birds feeding on it so drove them off and went to look at another farm which im going to shoot tomorrow. There must of been 1000-1500 birds on this farm but i left them undisturbed ready for tomorrow. Anyway i went back to the origanal farm and the birds had come back and where started to build up again. I deciced to set my hide under an oak tree on the edge of the half cut field. I put my deeks and the flapper out and got settled in. After the first 2 birds came in i went to put the magnet out and realised id forgotten the battery . I didnt put any dead birds in the pattern as there was too many flies about. I started at 4.30 and packed up at 6.30 to go check the rifle ready for the first proper foxing session in what seems years. The birds came in well and i ended with 83 and a magpie.

Cheers

Ben
