flytie
hi my beretta has a different serial number on the barrel to the one on the action is this right please Just been and checked mine to make sure. My forend, barrels and action are all stamped with the same number. If you bought it from a shop, take it back, complain and get your money back. I do not know how you stand on a private sale? The police came and checked my new gun and cabinet this january, they wanted the serial number off the gun and checked all three parts. You could be in deep **** if they come to you as they are not known for being forgiviing Ft
roughshooter
hi my beretta has a different serial number on the barrel to the one on the action is this right please I would presume your Beretta is a semiauto in which case the barrel number will be different to the action. This is normal with most italian auto's but coppers normally now ask for both numbers on certificate. With auto's the barrel is not fitted to the gun and is a seperate part made at a different time Hope this helps Graham

MC
I have a Berretta 391 Extrema and it has the same number on barrel and action. I would definetly raise this with GMK or your local shop. All parts for a particular gun should have the same no. Cheers Martin

Mungler
Pfff and double ppppffff. My brand spanking new AL391 has diff. serial numbers on action and barrel. I can only assume that Beretta make a bucket full of barrels and depending on what day of the week it is the barrel gets stuck into a Benelli Comfort, a Super Black Eagle, an M1, a 391 sport, a gold.... blah blah. Don't sweat it.
al4x
This isn't unusual, I have one where the number on my ticket was the barrel number which was put there when I bought it from a RFD. It got checked when I was applying for my FAC. All the FEO did was say it had been written in incorrectly butit was pretty usual and that they needed the action number. He just updated their records and that was it. No Hastle or anything but not something I'd expect a gun dealer not to know! So if its not the action number on your ticket just phone your FEO and get his advice.
