bicykillgaz
i'd get it checked over by a gunsmith first, don't want any accidents
Catweazle
Why not just leave the choke in there then ? Now you're stuck with cylinder, you could have had the old choke tube opened to whatever you needed.
HDAV
Or taken it to a smith who could have cracked it out for £20 and got another hatsan choke for £12-17..... you now have short chokeless semi...... you could get a replacement barrel but after all its a hatsan might as well just buy a new one! and use the old one for parts....... HDAV
I have another barrel you fools and i did they wouldnt do it they sed buy a diffrent barrel and i got one for 50 pound er exactly where did you say that? we are supposed to mind read i guess. so why cut the stuck one down if you had a replacement barrel for £50? shot shot
Mores to the point, if you've already got another barrel, what exactly are you asking? Cutting a few inches off of the barrel is never going to make it dangerous, it's not even a requirement to have it re-proofed.
gaffertoo
Well guys,I had the same on my escort, got my one out,no probs. I warmed it up with a gas blow lamp, now being a plumber(ex)you warm it up to a temp of just like an iron, that is what we call in the trade ( spit hot) that when the steel is just hot enough so that the spit does not stick to it. The same as when your nan or mum use to do to see how hot there irons were before she iron the old man shirts, this is an old plumbers trick to see how hot lead pipe was before you bend it.Try it,it will work, let us know how you get on....
