who has a shooting platform

my lamping partner has set up with an old disco,Ive just had it in my garage to weld up what needs doing and check it over,we plan on cutting a hole in the roof so we can shoot elevated off the roof,has anyone got any plans or photos if they have done a similar thing

i had a tow bar mounted one for a while on my freelander worked a treat, just the hassel of fitting and taking off but it was only a 15 min job, its on here somewhere

If its a twin sunroof model you could just raise the mounts to the gutters slap on some pipe lagging, cut a hatch in the rack and utilise the current sunroof, it would save cutting into the car and could be removed at a later date when selling.

 

EDIT to say - not sure how close this is to you but it could be easily modified....

You want to be able to sit down and up high.... and take a rest over the front section of the roof.

I learned last week if you have any fat mates be very careful what they sit on on the back of a pickup. Our seats have been fine on the back of my pickup for years, took one fat ****** to spoil that though dents on both sides now So its less of the comfortable seats and back to the chairs mounted on a scaffold plank
