Hunter
Sorry I have been away for a bit and missed a few PM's.. Have just spent 2 weeks with my GF who is from far far away... and has just gone back home, so Im back to hunting and shooting again. The little 'fluffy rabbits' are no longer safe Anyhow, FAC officer is comming over tomoro, I think everything is in order. 2X Brattonsound gunsafes fixed in the cuboard with my airguns inside, the windows have locks on them and I will try to get a key sorted out for them tonight.. The room door has a Yale lock on it. My qeustion is do I need to do anything else? am I missing anything? Im already getting worried.. I have asked for .22, .222, and Shotgun Certificate.. I just hope he wont think Im taking the micky for a first timer.. Cheers!
al4x
he'll just be a normal guy, if he doesn't agree with any caliber he'll suggest an alternative or suggest removing it. All looks fine the centrefire is the only one he may say no to but its luck of the draw. Hope you don't move house soon the brattonsounds are certainly a tad on the heavy side Edited May 9, 2006 by al4x
Axe
Don't worry, you have everything in place. Just be yourself and provide him with common sense, common knowldge and a good reason and everything will be fine. Besides its not really an interview more a check to see that you are suitably prepared and trusted. If you have missed something, he will explain it to you and ask you to remedy it, simple as. You could also discuss other calibres such the 17HMR and its suitability. The more you get now the better it will be later. Good luck. Hunter
Thanks for your replies! If .222 fails, I will certainly ask for .17 HMR as this would be a good alternative fox round for the farm. It seems a few members here have proven its uses against fox. Im still suprised it can do so much damage! Cheers for your support all I think the chap is very decent from what I heard.. he popped over while I was away and my parents met him. Im kicking myself I wasnt there as it was my birthday he came on
Axe
If that does happen which I doubt, dont over push the HMR for Fox, short range only.
Pedro
I agree with Axe, I went down that road when I was applying for my FAC and was given a big tablet by the FAO. It's a big no-no for foxes as far as he's concerned Best of luck anyway. I have to confess that I much prefer shooting bunnies with the .22 than anything else at the moment P. Hunter
Well that went well!! I be a chuffed person today. Also bought my first legal beer for tonight, as I turned 18 on the 4th, im now able to take advatage of my ID card. Cheers to everyone here. I would never have gone for the FAC if I didnt sign up to this forum.. FLO seemed happy about all my choices and saw no problems. Now I have to wait for the licence to come through.. Any ideas how long I have to wait now?

Any ideas how long I have to wait now? congratulations mate i had you down as older than 18 (your only a young-un ) regarding how long it takes to come through.... about <------> long. (there is not really any sure answer) mine was here about 2months after my interview, where as i have heard of people having the whole process from application to it being on the door mat in less than 2 weeks What did they give you out of intrest? Hunter
Yeh.. watch the counters go up soon Nick, Im worried now I heard other stories of people waiting longer for the licence then the interveiw. I asked for .22, .222 centerfire (both with moderators) and SGC. The FLO saw all my reasons as genuine, and said nothing would be a problem. Stupidly I didnt ask how long it would take.. Cheers for thinking I was older unlike a women, I like it when people say I seem older then they thought..
