Bead for a Beretta 687 Silver Pigeon 5

Morning all,

I don’t suppose any one has a spare front bead for a Silver Pigeon 5, mine unscrewed itself and dropped out whilst shooting a stand the other day! I mailed GMK but they haven’t got any, apparently it's a 2.6mm thread.

In the meantime, I’ll pop to the local gunsmith and see if he's got one.

PhilR, no comments about my accuracy improving once the bead had gone!

Thanks all

this another thread of the mighty beretta silver pigs falling apart? seem to be a few problems with them :hmm:

No, it still shoots fine, if not better, might hang off getting another bead. If beretta's falling apart is down to me not screwing the thing in propoerly, so be it!

Lost the bead on my SP. Thought I was sorted after a trip to one gunsmith, £3. On getting home I found the thread was different. I couln't identify it with any of the taps/dies I have So off to another gunsmith. As I walked towards him with the beadless barrels, he smiled and said, Beretta bead eh, you will be shocked at the price. They have thier own specific, non interchangeable thread on most models:o Was told he could get one for me, but Beretta charge £30 for them :o :o I phoned GMK (as you have done) went through to the workshop, and they very kindly put one in the post FOC. :good: The gunsmith did advise me not to loctite it in, but to use silicone. Its possible then to remover the stud if you snap it in future and will stop it unscrewing in the future. Hope this info helps.
