On route home came across this scene.

Just over the brow of the railway bridge were the remnants of a motor vehicle which was now a convertible courtasy of the West Mid’s Fire Service.

2 occupants cut free and attended to at the scene by paramedics.

It appears the vehicle had been exceeding the speed limit for the country lane and has left the road surface and became air bourne.

Thus the vehicle is now a missile the forgone missile has then touched down about 25yards on the other side of the railway bridge. As a result the vehicle has landed heavily and the driver lost control.

The vehicle has then proceeded to bounce onto the wrong side of the road striking the banked grassed verge no footpath.

Normally on a Sunday afternoon there are families, cyclists and horse riders up and down the country lane. Not forgetting other vehicles.

The vehicle has again bounced back onto the correct side of the road careered through the edge and then came to an abrupt halt on striking a substantial tree. Total distance approximately 130 yards from take off. The tree suffered very minor injuries.

After speaking to one of the firemen it appears the driver and the passenger had been drinking alcohol.

You can only imagine what might have occurred had there been a member of the public on the other side of the bridge. As the vehicle had become air bourne.

I have decided not to show the vehicle and occupants for fear of causing any H.A.D.

From my rant I don't agree with drinking driving.

Regards

I wrote a long angry diatribe about this subject, based on how I would feel if this type of act affected my family.

This type of behaviour is simply a criminal act and should carry similar penalties, deaths resulting from drink or drug driving, should be tried as murder because thats what it is.
