Great Girlfriend

Due to not be able to drive as of yet, I have struggled to get out to my permissions

on a regular basis. And with my best friend an shooting partener giving up shooting

for good an selling all his gear iv hardly been out at all.

So thinking the worse the other night, I thought I was going to lose my permission for sure if I didn't

get started going on a more regular basis then I have been.

So after explaining my situation to my girlfriend who has never shown any interest in my shooting

other then eating what I bring home. She surprisingly said that she would be willing to take me the 2 hour

round trip up to my permissions at least twice a month untill I get my own car, which will hopefully be in the new

year. All I got to do it put the juice in that car an i'm away, so thanks to my girlfriend it looks like

my shooting and more important my land will be saved an not lost after all. Can't wait to get out an about now

an get some trigger time in on the foxes an pigeons/crows. So I will say i'm a very gratefull happy man again

and massive thanks to my girlfriend for understanding how important my shooting is to me. :good: :good: :good:

Fair play lads she's come up trumps this time, can't fault her in the least.

Never thought in a bunch of Sundays that she would drive that far to take me.

Though in all fairness i have never asked asuming the answer would be no.

Aint be up there for quiet a while an as hardly any one else goes to thes farms.

I think there should be quiet a bit of got shooting to be had now.

Very very happy days.

Meal with flowers an wine me thinks to say thanks.

Offer her a shot or two at some pigeons when youre out - she might be instantly hooked! I was :good:

Lamb i got no chance of getting her to have shot. We were suppose to go ona clay shoot a few

weeks ago but she dropped out in the end as she really didn't want to fire the gun. She

hates guns full stop, no persuading her at all. But i am greatfull she's taking me know.

Saved my land an shooting that has.

She's a divorcey and said she'll never marry again. Thank goodness for that, ooops thinking aloud again ha ha.

But i can do the spoiling part though, i think she deserves it after coming up top trumps like this.

Its just a pity she hates guns an will never go out in the field with me. Asked many times and always been turned down. But shooting on my own is better then no shooting at all.

Flippin heck, youre in South Wales?? Where abouts? I'll be yr shooting buddy :D

(Have Land Rover, will travel  )

Im based just down below you lamb at the top end of Rhymney

Valley. Perhaps one day in the future we could meet up for the odd

day walk up rough or decoy shooting.

I did have a little bit of land up Hereford way up by Glew Stone, not

sure if i could still be welcome to shoot over it as i havent been up there

a while. But iv got land scattered all over the place really.

Though i would like to go by myself for a while now my girlfriend is taking

me. Want to get re-aquainted with some of the farmers before i start

taking people on the land. Dont want to turm up after a long time away

and expect them to let me on with one or two people in tow. Need to see

how the land lies with. Few of them first.

But i'll defo keep you in mind lamb for a day out or two in the future.
