Rabbits & Squirrells

Recommended Posts

The 2 squirrells were shot this morning, both head shots at 35 yds, off the bird feeder at the end of my garden.

These take my tally to 26 in the space of 3 months, with the air rifle.

This inspired me to go after the bunnys that are building up, I haven't been out for a while.

Cheers

Cheers guys

The rifle's a Air Arms S410 XTRA FAC (Deadly)

I just had to break from typing to take out another squirrel :good:

Head shot 35 yds. Running total 27.

All the beasties were paunched, ready for skinning, and are now sat in the fridge diced, awaiting

conversion into yummy pies. It took me ages last night.

Cheers

Always wanted to try an FAC airgun :good:

Good stuff!! I have never seen a squirrel covered in its own brain before.. Im sure this AA is doing the job nice and cleanly. I somtimes had problems with 12ftlbs which pushed me further to the FAC area..

The FAC Air Arms is awesome, easily capable of taking out a bunny (head shot) at 60 yds, some will say

further.

The stealth dosn't come out of the cabinet very often nowadays.

I've noticed a lot of blood pi**ing out of the squirrels that have been shot, as opposed to very little from

the rabbits?

I've gone through sacks of the stuff to try & combat the dogs pee :good:

From an FAC stealth running at 30-40ftlbs, its only around 80 shots  the number of shots to power ratio drops very quickly when going FAC. But.. if you have a propper air rifle that hits what you point it at, out to 60yds, its worth the extra pumping work :good:

There were 4 young ones and 4 adults, there's alot of young about at the moment.

I don't normally take the young if I can help it, but the farmer insists on it. " A rabbits a rabbit"

Not quite as big a bag as you have had recently :good:

I enjoyed reading & looking at your B.C Bear hunt, great pics, and sounds like a fabulous trip.
