beatingisbest
Is it a lee enfield?
flash
to me that looks like either an lee enfield enforcer in 7.62 or the L39 42 envoy in 7.62 with the fultons no gunsmithing scope mount, my god are those rails expensive £80, was it a shock or what . with the cut down top furniture to allow the scope to fit correctly. looks just like mine except for the rear stock. heres mine: is that a rhino scope on it as well? cheers flash
mikky
hiya flash not sure if its the enforcer..started life as a lee enfield .303 no4. it now has a .308 target barrel and a monte carlo butt, and a different mag ( £50 ),i know the rails are expensive, the scope has no brand name on it,but stuart who i bought it off said he was knocking man size targets over at 900 yds. the only gripe i have is that it does'nt eject the shells, the .303 round is different than the .308 and the extractor can't get a grip and throw it out....but i am happy with the £250 i had to part with,i sold my parker hale for £200,so only £50 to find... hiya frank

flash
my dad bought it a few years back(about 6) before the americans started buying them all, it cost him £80 rifle only with diopter sights, only ever been used for targets but i will hopefully be using it for some stalking. i am hopefully getting a similar stock or just adding a cheak piece to the current stock. ares seem to eject fine but it isnt a conversion so i wouldnt be in the right lace to say anything. cheers flash

mikky
bisley is too far otherwise i would take you up on the offer hoping to get my permission cleared for the .223 , but there is a footpath running right through the middle of it.who knows how they interpret land as " safe " to shoot on.its in the middle of nowhere with loads of hills so i might be one of the priviledged few
Holland&Holland
Maybe it should be latest addiction? I like the lee enfield. Shooting with old school guns seems always more fun...
paulos
i love that enfield, ive got to say that i find lee enfields to be the best looking of all rifles! fingers-crossed i might get one someday
flash
i agree paulos it is such a classic look, but with a modern twist. fultons of bisley have a large selection. cheers flash
rarms
My Enfield: Heavy 7.62 barrel, Target Stock, Harris Bipod, Armalon scope mount and I think Nikko scope
flash
your rifle looks very nice rarms, are you going to the bisley meet.how much was the scope mount, i paid £80 for mine from fultons. that stcok looks nice. im thinking of getting a versa pod for mine as i like the idea of being able to detach the bipod easily and quickly, i have a harris on at the mo. cheers flash
mikky
rarms....does yours eject the cartridge
Marc M
Lovely looking piece Mick, cracking wood to it. Does it fire with a real kick in the shoulder? I'll have to get up to Rossy Fusiliers sometime soon, lately I've not had chance as I've been working most weekends then spending my spare Sundays at Rishton. Anyway, lovely gun, mucho jealous ! rarms
The scope mount was £75 from Armalon, it is essentially the one I looked at in Fultons, it mounts slightly differently and is pre-canted to save scope clicks but otherwise the same Yes it will be at Bisley in august Should be threaded with a T8 on by then too It does eject too yeah >i like the idea of being able to detach the bipod easily and quickly I don't see a versa pod is going to be much better than a harris, with the versa pod you will have the great lump of plastic stuck to the fore-grip unless you remove it each time which will probably take longer than a harris. Just use a harris and flip it forward out the way? Kyle
flash
we already have a harris bipod which gets shared between the rifles, i like the look of the versa pod and will obviously try berfore i buy to make sure i like it. my dads lee enfield should be there too if we get are deposit in. cheers flash
