hi all

i paid a visit to a local farm last night. its split up over three pieces of land it has always been a good venu over the years with some good numbers of fox but as time goes on it has got very quiet. the first to be visited was a large field that is a good 4 mile from the farm house it must be a good few acres but its just one field. first scan and a fox was spotted about 3-4 hundred yards off it was a very bright night and didnt think i would get in close enough for a shot but ................

i did!! the shot was a odd one it went in the chest but came out the side and taken the back leg completely off.

after the one fox was taken we decided to go to the next spot.

this is a lovely shoot with a big thick wood on the one side and in it a large pheasant shoot but once again it was very quiet and the fog had started to drop.

we now of a fox here that has dodged us for a long time and we see him every time we go but he's the old dog fox that i can never catch up with i have put in many cold nights sitting in -10 last year in the snow waiting for him but he just seems to now im there and never makes that 1 mistake, well that changed last night he was spotted same place as always right smack in the field next door. i have tried all calls on him but he will not budge.

this is what finally ended him with a rather messy shot so will not put up full pic

Well done Andy, especially with the crafty old boy! :good::good: They all make one final mistake no matter how clever they are, it's just a matter of time and patience!
