TaxiDriver
Fancied trying a SxS, So I bought this 12gauge Baikal at my local, prefered RFD for £90 Shot it today on a few stands at my local shoot and was rather unpleasantly suprised, Ohh Lorrrrdy It kicks like a horse :o :o 1. Is this kick usual ? It seems noticably worse than either of my O/Us 2. Should the safety come on in between firing the 1st and 2nd barrels. Then a seperate problem which occurred a couple or three times, Fire 1st and the gun opened on its own :o Will be taking it back tuesday :(
Andy H
You will find sxs will have a little more felt recoil also the safety should not come on between shots and your last problem ,Take it back it is faulty.
bakerboy
Hi Neil You will get more of a kick with a SxS as it is lighter and not designed for firing constantly as you do for clays, as for the rest I would, as you said you are, take it back and get your money back, it sounds like it has a lot of major problems
pigeonblasterian
I use a Baikal s/s most of the time when shooting. It has none of the problems you mention so yours must be faulty. It is a good solid heavy gun and heavier than a lot of o/u i have seen.Have you been shooting a semi automatic as that would explain why you think it has a bit of a kick. Cannon
I have a Baikal sxs and honestly would say that it appears to kick less than my SX3. The safety shouldn't come on between shots and the gun shouldn't open itself. Probably seen a fair few rounds down the spout by the sounds of things. Guest cookoff013
has the baikal got the cross loking bolt? i believe its a kursten /greneer type. it should not open upon firing. take it back.
dougall
keep it as a sledge hammer.....best use for a Baikal brick
bicykillgaz
i have a baikal sxs and i've never had any of the issues you describe mate, as you say take it back, but don't let it put you off baikal's there cracking little guns. mine kicks like a mule too so i fitted a limbsaver recoil pad and its about the same as firing my semi now. gary
vampire
Neil, yes they do kick a bit as all baikals do,just fit a recoil pad. Are you sure that it 'snapped' shut,if it did close properly then take it back as it shouldnt come undone on firing.
