Ears
Ive have shot a bit of 25-06 a few times. It really is a great round ( All Round ) And it packs a punch better than .243 for def hits much harder and is spot on accurate like .
henry d
Watch out, here comes a newbie question, ye've been warned I don't wish to hijack the thread but what're the advantages of the 25-06 over the .243? John It`s a barrel stripper
Dunkield
It`s a barrel stripper No related to Gemini by any chance are you H? I think those comments come from people who shoot 5,000 rounds a year, if you use it for hunting you are unlikely to shoot the barrel out, and I would have thought (but am happy to be corrected) if that you used heavier bullets like the 117's the velocity would be reduced and therfore the barrel life would be extended. The Bear
There is no such thing as a free lunch. More performance always means a higher price to pay be it in powder or barrel wear. Yes, larger bore sizes do tend to be a bit more long lasting but does anyone really care. I have an idea!
