.257 Roberts

Hi all, thought I’d put some pics up of me new .257 Bob. She was made by my local gun/rifle smith.

 

The action is L/H Tikka 695 originally off a .270, the barrel is a med weight 26' Lothar Walther, The

Stock is a grade AA fancy from Richard's microfit stocks in the states, T8 silencer, and on top I have put a 3-18x50 Swarovski Z6i.

 

Up to now I have only shot some 117gr Remington factory ammo which was rubbish, but had a success with some home loads which me old man helped me with, They comprise of 85gr Nosler ballistic silver tip bullet, 39grs of reloader 15 and federal match primers, managed to get hole on hole more or less.

Well Dougy as you know its no heavyer than your 22-250 and if i need a .30 cal I have a broad choice on me ticket. All i can say im goin for your 350yrd record!!!! And as for shooting it its doin well on paper with them 85grs, Maybe pop wed or thurs night, dont forget we goin bush thursday lunch!!! :yes:
