tweedledee
You would be mad to buy sub twelve.fac versions can be had for little money over there. The mark two is regulated.the mark one is a good work horse though not the best trigger.i have four theobens .go to rapid seven owners forum for advice.cheap mk two fac on gun trader at moment
bullet boy
I've got 2 Rapids both Mk1's.One in FAC .22 and the other one is a Rapid 17 12ft/lbs.Both are cracking guns but as tweedledee says the Mk1 triggers could be better but performance wise they are both extremely accurate rifles. Dekers
They are both great air rifles, and you will not go wrong with either, the Mk1 is possibly better built (more rugged). The Mk11 in theory should be a better rifle and give more shots, but it isn't as well built in my view, it may look prettier to some. You will find those that rate either or both, EITHER will be fine!
Catweazle
The Mk2 has a really excellent trigger and shot count. To my mind it's worth the extra money.
bullet boy
If i was to buy another Theoben rifle now i would go for the MFR as i love the look of that Bull-Barrel,you still get plenty of shots off the 280cc bottle plus you can also shoot the MFR in single shot if preferred,as opposed to the earlier MK1 and Mk2 rifles. blasterjudd
Is the rapid 12 a mk1 or 2? And is it a good gun or is it an old model??? I'm not an owner of one but interested in buying one in the future thus if my query seems daft please ignore my inexperience with these guns. bullet boy
Basicly the Rapid 12 states it's a 12 shot magazine. A 12 shot magazine comes in .20,.22 and .25 calibres. The Rapid 17 only comes as .177 calibre. You can buy a Rapid 7 and convert it to a Rapid 12 with the 12 shot mag. blasterjudd
But how you tell the difference between a mk1 & mk2??? Is there a visible difference?
RC45
I have a MK1, no experience of the MK2. The MK1 is very competent especially as FAC.
Catweazle
But how you tell the difference between a mk1 & mk2??? Is there a visible difference? The easiest way to tell is the stock. Mk1 stops before the bottle, Mk2 goes slightly further around the bottle.
silverhawk
Think I might go for the mk2 ,
