onefulham
Tired of blunt kitchen knives and scissors, we have a sharpening sick but never feel it does a great job, saw these Bladetech sharpners advertised for about £10, are they any good, VFM, or fall to pieces after 2 months ? thanks for any advice
steve_b_wales
They are okay for the money, can be carried in your pocket, and quick to use. But they do take a fair bit of metal off your knife if not used correctly. I bought myself the Lansky system, which I have found to be excellent. Salop Matt
There good for what they are but aggressive so would only use them on cheap knives. Which is all i have anyway. An alternitive simlar product thats better is the little blue sharpener from 7dayshop.com suctions down and is a little less harsh on the blades ! kyska
Agreed with all of the above, they are brutal if you aren't careful. I can't use mine, the noise they make drives me psycho.

I've had one for years but I wasn't aware I didn't know how to use it. I always pulled the blade away from the steel where in fact Colin Lad showed us the correct way is to push the blade toward the handle and keeping the right angle. Now I wouldn't use anything else. Cheers Colin!!!
rimfire4969
I would not use one on any of my decent knifes.

rimfire4969
Haven't got any decent knifes so not a problem ! Crack on then. They do sharpen but take to much metal for my liking.
