Its been a while since ive posted, haven't really had the opportunity to get out controlling charlie. But friday past, my dad, my shooting partner and myself did get the opportunity to get for a few hours, to say it was hard going would be an understatement.

I dont know what it is this year, but not seeing as many as the year before, but aint worried to be totally honest because the area we shoot over does hold plenty off foxes, just 1 off those nights i suspect.

Anyway, done a circle off the area and spotted the odd set off eyes, but not within range, came round to do the 2nd run about 2 hours later and right at the spot where the lamp normally comes to life, charlie presented himself about 120 yards away. now looking at him he looked to be averaged size.

My mate was the shooter this time, he was grubbing around and wasnt overly concerned about the light, the fox i mean, not the mate, oh no filter used, this is something im trying this year because last year charlie was not that bothered, and it gives you more light to play with when lining up the target.

This chap was mouching as said, he started to move and i gave a squeak and straight away he presented himself sideways, no time wasted this fella was down. Anyway look at the pics below, we did this fella a favour, he was a HUGE dog fox, and a Old dog, im sure he's moved onto better times now, he was believe it or not in cracking condition, by that i mean coat, the rest he had seen better times.
